TROUBLE drummer Barry Stern passed away!

Created by Klaus Kleinowski |

Legendary Chicago doomsters TROUBLE have posted the following message on their official web site regarding the passing of former TROUBLE drummer Barry Stern (as first reported here on Blabbermouth yesterday):

"We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Barry Stern on Friday morning (April 1). Our hearts and prayers go out to all his family and friends today.

"We remember all the good times we had together and come to know that they are priceless all we can say is that we love you and miss you and one day we will jam together again. Rest in peace."

Added TROUBLE guitarist Rick Wartell: "This is sad news for the music world. "I would like to send condolences to Barry's family and friends. We will think of you, and one day we will jam together again. "RIP, brother."

Stern played drums and sang on the first two ZOETROPE albums — 1985's "Amnesty" and 1987's "A Life of Crime" — before leaving to join TROUBLE prior to the recording of their classic 1990 self-titled offering. He stuck around long enough to appear on the follow-up effort, 1992's "Manic Frustration".
