SONS OF TONATIUH Tour Wrap-Up

Having returned home safely from their Midwestern mini-tour, Atlanta sludge demons SONS OF TONATIUH are stoked to announce the next bout of live happenings to round out 2010 (and usher in 2011). Elaborated drummer Tim Genius: "We'd first like to report that the tour was a resounding success. Thank you in no small part to the hospitality of our label boss at Hydrophonic, the rad bands we shared bills with and the swell folks we met along the way. A special thanks is due to our driver and road-man extraordinaire, Greg who delivered us safe, if not sound. We wish the same could be said for a certain feline representative of Grand Rapids who had a bit of a run-in with our van. That part was a bummer.

So we’re back in Atlanta, and after a couple of days, we've got the inevitable 'ants-in-our-pants' associated with a post-super fun road trip. What did we do? The only thing we know to do. We booked a tour. That’s right, come January 6 SONS OF TONATIUH will be heading out for a ten-day stretch from Florida to Texas and back. And what will we do with ourselves until then? Well, how about a particular hometown gig with fellow southern teetotalers, Eyehategod? And if that wasn’t enough, what if we told you that our pals and recent touring accomplices Phobia would be there too? That’s right. Sludge legends, Eyehategod AND grind pioneers, Phobia with SONS OF TONATIUH at The Earl in Atlanta, December 4, 2010! Here are more dates.

That's all for now. But do yourselves a favor. Let’s see you there! Or just do it for the Mr. Wiggles."

SONS OF TONATIUH -- drummer Tim Genius, guitarist/vocalist Dan Caycedo, bassist Mike Tunno and guitarist/vocalist Darby Wilson -- unleashed their self-titled debut full-length via Michigan's Hyodrophonic Records earlier this year. Engineered by Jay Matheson (Kylesa, Black Tusk) at the legendary Jam Room Studio in Columbia, South Carolina, the crushing eight-track long player features the artwork of Rodney Githens and is available on CD as well as blue and gold-colored wax.
