SNAIL to Tour West Coast in April
SNAIL has announced that they will embark on their first tour ever starting April 3rd in Seattle. These will most likely be the only shows in the US before the band goes back into the studio to record the follow-up to the well-received 2009 release 'Blood' on Meteor City. The band defied odds when it received accolades from fans and critics alike and was included on many Top Ten of 2009 lists following a 14-year hiatus. Fans should take heed and experience the full brunt of their power while they can. Here you'll find the dates.
SNAIL formed in 1992 consisting of singer Mark Johnson (The Crucified, Blessing the Hogs), bassist Matt Lynch and drummer Marty Dodson. Reunited in January, 2008 after a fourteen year hiatus, the original lineup added guitarist and longtime friend Eric Clausen for the recording of their current album, 'Blood'. The result is a hypnotic mix of roaring classic metal, doom, sludge, stoner and psychedelic dubbed “psychedoomic.” SNAIL is currently booking shows in California and will be touring in Spring of 2010.
