Formed by HANGNAIL guitarist/vocalist Heck Armstrong after returning from a successful tour of Europe and Japan supporting UK doom-rockers CATHEDRAL, the END OF LEVEL BOSS is driven by a complete and all consuming need for off-kilter riffs and mis-shapen timing.
Bringing in Ex-FLOOD drummer Gareth Millsted, bassist Elenajane and HANGNAIL guitarist Jimm Ogawa, the END OF LEVEL BOSS began to piece together its disjointed patterns. The end result was captured in a deserted warehouse in Berlin, Germany during December 2003 and released as the "experiment" EP. The pressing sold out quickly as the band played a series of dates supporting the likes of ORANGE GOBLIN, THE ATOMIC BITCHWAX, SHEPHERD, THE HIDDEN HAND and BUDGIE.
The END OF LEVEL BOSS has now completed the recording of its debut full-length album due out through EXILE ON MAINSTREAM Records. Entitled "Prologue", it was recorded completely on analogue equipment in London during March 2005 and contains the tracks:
