HYPNOS 69 (The Intrigue Of Perception) CD

Feb/13/2005

My love affair with HYPNOS 69 began, when I received the promo of their excellent album "Timeline Traveller" a few years ago. It was a truly magical album, with songs that would keep an audience fixed for an hour or two...

HIGHLIGHT (Ptiyh) MCD-R

Aug/09/2004

After the first two demos of this French band I asked myself why this guys haven't signed any record contract, because their material is convincing and more original than 80% of the current Doom/Stoner scene. Now this is HIGHLIGHT's third demo, and the question mark in my head becomes bigger and bigger...

HIGHLIGHT (Highlight) MCD-R

Aug/09/2004

Here's the second 5 titles demo MCD-R, recorded last year in August 2002. I've lost some good words about this French band before, and I will continue my positive critic after I've listened a lot to their second demo...

HOUSE OF AQUARIUS (The World Through Bloodred Eyes) CD

Jul/29/2004

Here we've got the latest promo of this Swedish four piece and like a lot of their other Swedish comrades they stick knee deep in the early days of 70's Heavyrock. This self-released promo contains also three songs of their "Promo 2001" and so you can listen to eight heavy soulful tracks...

HIGHLIGHT (s/t) MCD-R

Jul/29/2004

This is a brandnew French band, formed in September 2001 with their first three track demo CD recorded in April 2002. All of the four musicians have played in other different underground bands before...

HERMANO/ORQUESTA DEL DESIERTO (s/t) Split-MCD-R

Jul/29/2004

Everyone who's aware of the musical biography from John Garcia maybe knows that he was part of HERMANO in the late 90's and I'm not quite sure if he's still around with them nowadays. The two recording sessions are dated back to 1998-99 and the result are the two tracks "The Bottle" and "Landetta"...

HELL DWELLERS (Demo 2001) MCD

Jul/29/2004

This promo was a nice little surprise for me. I've never heard anything from this Italian band so I immedatley put this three-tracker in my player...

HEAVY LIQUID (s/t) MCD

Jul/29/2004

Out of New Jersey comes this new four piece with the first three song demo. Produced by Phil Caivano ( ex-SHRAPNEL / now MONSTER MAGNET ), this band presents us some kind of Detroit influenced High Energy Rock...

HYPNOS 69 (Timeline Traveller) CD

Jul/15/2004

I've never listened to the before released 10" but this long-playing five track album was a very positive surprise for me. But the first time, I've seen the cover-artwork and noticed the name of this Belgium trio, I've expected the typical "heavy-fuzzy-bluesy-groovy-straight-forward-70's-V8-like-kick-ass- r 'n' r", but gladly I've was wrong...

HONCHO (Corporate Rock) CD

Jul/15/2004

Hmh, haven't I heard all this before ? Maybe with another cover-artwork and under another name, but everything sounds so familiar to me. And that familitarity really disturbs me...
