BLOOD THIRSTY DEMONS / WYTCHKRAFT Split-7" EP

Mar/03/2008

Some split-releases differs drastically in quality but Metal Coven Records is always good in picking up some good underground bands. Hailing from Italy, BLOOD THIRSTY DEMONS deliver ravaging and raw Heavy Metal and although this guys wear corpse-paint, their sound has nothing in common with Black Metal...

BRAIN POLICE (Beyond The Wasteland) CD

Mar/02/2008

I love Iceland for its landscapes and for its myths and history. This is one of the very rare places on this earth, where one still can find and discover untamed nature and areas, which no one ever touched before...

BEEHOOVER (The Sun Behind The Dustbin) CD

Jan/26/2008

A few years ago, I received an MCD-R from this German band, but due to several reasons I never finished the review. One of the main reasons was that I have had a lot of personal problems at that period of time, what brings me to the conclusion that it wasn't  the quality of that release which stopped me in writing a few sentences about it...

BURNING SAVIOURS (Hundus) CD

Dec/14/2007

This is the last album, which this Swedish band did record for I Hate Records, and everyone who liked their debut full-length won't be disappointed by 'Hundus'. BURNING SAVIOURS' music isn't hard to describe; they clearly draw a lot of inspiration from early Pentagram and combine it with other obscure Heavy Rock from the 1970's...

BOMB THE SUN (s/t) MCD-R

Dec/14/2007

During 2007, I received a lot of demo stuff from new heavy bands, which are coming from the UK. Among this groups is BOMB THE SUN, and their kind of rock, is strongly influenced from Josh Homme's style of playing...

BLENDED SKY (Introduction To Liquid Space Time) MCD-R

Dec/14/2007

BLENDED SKY are a strange bastard. When you only read the title of this demo, you may associate it with space rock or psychedelic stuff, but BLENDED SKY have not much in common with that...

BASTARD OF THE SKIES (s/t) MCD-R

Dec/14/2007

What can I expect from a band with such a monstrous name like BASTARD OF THE SKIES? Surely, they won't play mellow folk rock or psychedelic pop, but some sort of heavy music, which is made to scare the shit out of your little sister. And yes, BASTARD OF THE SKIES is not that kind of band, who is interested in hypnotizing the listener with sweet grooves and a relaxed atmosphere...

BABY WOODROSE (Chasing Shadows) LP/CD

Dec/14/2007

When will Lorenzo Woodrose record an album, which is just average or boring? It's not that I'm begging for it or something like this. It's more, that whenever this man is involved in another group or he's recording something new with his own band BABY WOODROSE (not to forget all his other projects!), the result is always beautiful...

BALERO (s/t) MCD-R

Nov/30/2007

I really wonder, why the US-based band BALERO is looking for a singer. If they would look for another name...

BAD PREACHERS / IRONBOSS (s/t) Split-10"

Nov/30/2007

Rock 'n' Roll Radio Records is back with a new 10", and again, they prove their good taste, although I must say, that BAD PREACHERS don't really convince me with their heavy badass punk. All five songs are well-played, and they are better than a few other bands in this genre, but after a while I only find this kind of music boring...
